Every day I wake up reminding myself of who I am. I don’t focus on where I am or how much I have but on the person God has called me to be. I remind myself of my purpose, and not allow fear and challenges change my perception. I know my mind can go either way, believe in the best or believe in the worst. Therefore, daily I have to reset my mind with faith.

I have to visualize my goals, my success, my wins. It’s not always easy as some days are better than others. However, when I push myself to believe, to refocus, I declare purpose…solutions come to mind, doors open, opportunities become available.

Today set your mind to believe in you. How are you going to see yourself?

Living an abundant life requires joy, perseverance, love, passion.  It also includes risks, anger, pain, struggle, and suffering. If you are asking for only the good things in life and can’t embrace the challenges as also benefits, then you are fearing to live a complete and balanced life. Creating a mindset of only happy living is unrealistic and leads to depression and disappointment. Let your mind bend with what life brings. Accept each moment, each situation, each experience as something you are meant to process. You’ll find with time that every day that has gone by has been an opportunity for you to live. How you take that opportunity is up to you.

How have you experienced abundant living?

Growing comes from accepting the decisions you make. Good or bad, every decision has a consequence. To grow, accept responsibility for your life. Don’t blame others when things go wrong, and take the credit when things are right. Instead, be honest with yourself, learn from your mistakes, and appreciate those that have helped you get closer to your goals.

How have you handled decisions that have led to bad outcomes? What did you learn from that experience?

Flawsome is a term which describes an individual who embraces their “flaws” and knows they are awesome regardless. It’s meant to encourage confidence and acceptance in individuals. In a world that is trying to keep up with the Kardashians, it’s refreshing to take a different stance in life. Try instead to keep up with being yourself. Focus on your personality, what makes you awesome and share that with the world.

Here are three steps you can take today to become flawsome.

  1. Mirror mirror on the wall:  Look at yourself and find gratitude for what you see. Yes, you can wear make-up to highlight your features. Yes, you can diet to become healthier.  However, regardless of where you start and where you finish, feeling gratitude for yourself has to be constant every step of the way.
  2. Haters gonna hate: That’s right.  You can rest assure that someone in your life has something negative to say.  These are the people that will find something wrong no matter what. Often, these individuals are unhappy with themselves, so they spend time trying to bring others down to feel better about themselves. If their opinions are not constructive, and there to help you; instead they are hurtful, then let their feedback roll off your shoulder.  Don’t invest in arguing with them and don’t let their negativity get you down. Instead, move forward with your head held high. Limit the time you spend with them, if possible.
  3. Mission complete: Flawsome is achieved when you work hard to accomplish your mission in life. However, you can’t achieve anything without failure. Therefore, embrace your failures, and allow those moment to teach you a lesson.  Get back up and try again. Continue until you are satisfied with what you have accomplished.

You see part of being “Flawsome” is also understanding that there are two sides to everything. Benefits and drawbacks.  All is meant to guide you into becoming your best self.

Practicing daily affirmation is a way to empower your mind. It stems from an attitude of faith and positive vibrations. We all have the same capacity to succeed, but only those who are focused on encouraging themselves, finding balanced perspectives, and living with an powerful faithful attitude, usually are the ones that change history.

Just for today affirm yourself with the following:

I will shine.

Live a life where you are giving and receiving abundant love. You do this by finding gratitude in everything. Waking up with a tenacious attitude, expecting great things, and a spirit of hard work, dedication, and inspiration. Renew your soul daily by fulfilling small steps towards your purpose. In these moments, life becomes an overflowing fountain of joy.

I believe Action and Love are interconnected.  Love inspires you to move forward in life and to take action.  At the same time, to express the love you must be willing to act on it.

2 Timothy 1:7New King James Version

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

When you can allow love to flow through you, and then respond to that love with your action, this will become a powerful chain of reaction. You are elevating your reach by inspiring others at the same time. Let this powerful formula, Action + Love, propel you to places you will never think or image you could reach.

1 Corinthians 3:8 says ” Now he who plants and he who waters are the same, but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.” There are times in life when we are asked to plant or water a seed, for ourselves or someone else. The reward will be given according to the effort we put in. Therefore, when you work hard for yourself or for someone else, you will be rewarded either way. So every chance you get to help someone, do it. Every time you can do something for yourself, do it. Do it with love, dedication, and with gratitude. God will provide the increase. It may not happen immediately, so be patient, but have faith that growth will happen.

Is there something or someone causing you to think twice before you move forward? We all know what it means to look like “a deer in the headlights.” Scared to death. Fear will paralyze you and will stop you from accomplishing your deepest desire.

Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” – Mathew 17:20

Yes, it might be difficult. To some maybe even impossible. But to you, who has strong faith, the impossible will become possible. Let faith bring forth the desires of your heart. Affirm yourself that by faith you can move mountains.

Every day is a new experience.  Back in 2013, I had a wonderful opportunity to visit South Africa with a company I was working with at that time.  The experience was phenomenal. It was also something I never even imaged or expected would happen in my life.  Although that was a great moment in my life, I also had some crazy thing happening as well.  What I realized from this experience is that life is not constant.

The worst thing a person can do is believe that everything is supposed to be “perfect”.

There will be days of joy and happiness. As well as days of pain and sorrow. The worst thing a person can do is believe that everything is supposed to be “perfect”. Don’t chase life with a one-sided mindset. Being too happy or too sad will hurt you in the end. Life is about finding balance. Appreciating when things are good, and allowing yourself to feel, maybe even cry when things are not. Live in balance. Find gratitude. That’s where love resides. Remember that tomorrow you will get a fresh start.
